![]() Lol A lot of excellent points though.I git bit by the otf bug last year and now own 5 microtech’s,my Dirac being my absolute favorite right now until I grab a Hera.I love my Guardian tactical’s especially my gtx-025 more than my recon 035 but you are right, you def need a different finish and blade style,my all black tanto is Awesome!!!And now one you completely forgot and I’m sure a lot of people will say no way but I just bought my first Heretic manticore E with the Bowie blade and it blew me away, honestly it’s right now my favorite,of course I don’t own a deadlock Lol You lucky bastard!!!But I hope you give them a try.A week later I lived my manticore E so much I just got yesterday a manticore S and honestly that knife is too small and my Gaurdian tactical gtx-025 blows it away so I’m either gonna send that back or just keep it to add to my collection but it’s just too small for me,and I bought one of thier aftermarket titanium roller ball picket clips that fits any manticore otf and what a difference but they are $80 on a good day!!Hope you try a manticore E or X ,you won’t be disappointed.Have you ever owned a hogue compound? That was maybe gonna be my next otf but I’m not sure,as you can tell I love collecting Usa made otf’s.I will try one if the Russian made koschei otf’s also by Daggerr knifes,I own an ots by them and it’s awesome and a protech godson and a kershaw launch 4 lol besides that my collection is mainly OTF’s. Even if I didn’t have blade length restrictions I would still think twice before buying a microtech.Īwesome video,I agree on some things and disagree on others but hey that’s the nature of the beast right. Maybe I’m over critical but man it seems like Microtech does not offer a competitive product and is making no effort to improve. Not to mention that Microtech goes out of their way to attempt to lock the customer out of the product they paid for with stupid proprietary screws that you can buy a tool set for an extra $60 and to top it all off the tools are all out of stock. The side opening autos are different i get that but they are definitely competitors. Meanwhile the micro incursion by hogue, runt 5 and sprint by Pro-Tech all come in at or below the $200 mark. The Exocet is once again a high $200 low to mid $300 tiny ass knife. ![]() The mini troodon is anywhere from $315 to $421 while the full size troodon has a larger handle and blade for around the same price. The utx-70 CA is the same price as a normal utx-70. Microtech tends to charge the same, if not more for less blade. Pivoting pocket clip secures the knife without destroying your pockets. Features: Innovative OTF design offers solid blade lock up with zero blade play. The handle is made from marble carbon fiber and titanium with added jimping on the firing button and overlays. I can essentially only get a micro incursion, utx-70 CA, mini troodon, or exocet. This Model B features a dagger style blade made from 20CV with hollow grinds. Being in California my options are limited. ![]() Microtech may be the most offensive maker when it comes to price.
